As far as I know, the shared VRAM at 1.5GB is as much as that processor can handle even with your extra RAM. I am using the Mavericks version of BootCamp assistant and have the retina model.

It is shared with the main processor-that will always be a handicap. Now I would like to know whether it is even possible to get the Intel Iris Pro graphics card running on a MacBook under Windows and then switch between them to increase battery life when I dont need high graphics peformance.
